Teaching and presentations

The fellow teaches through case preparation, intraoperative coaching, postoperative debrief, conference discussion, and formal presentation. Journal club, case conference, resident teaching, and departmental conference obligations are assigned at the start of the year.

Teaching material states its source, separates evidence from local preference, and names what is still uncertain. A teaching slide that cannot survive that distinction is not ready.

Operative video is part of the teaching. Cases are recorded when the operative plan allows it, and the fellow can review that footage with the fellowship director. Watching your own case back is the cheapest way to find the step you thought went well.
