Reconstructive and Gender-Affirming Surgery Fellowship leezhaomd.org

For applicants

Teaching and presentations

The fellow teaches through case preparation, intraoperative coaching, postoperative debrief, conference discussion, and formal presentation. Current journal club, case conference, resident teaching, and departmental conference obligations are assigned by the program and should be confirmed at the start of the year.

Every presentation must follow current institutional and venue requirements. Remove direct identifiers and inspect images, video, slides, filenames, dates, and embedded metadata for information that can identify a patient. Publication, outside distribution, third-party video use, and industry use require their own review and must not be inferred from permission to present a de-identified case.

Teaching material should state its source, separate evidence from local preference, and identify uncertainty. A teaching slide that cannot survive that distinction is not ready.
